| dc.description.abstract | The transportation model was recognized as an assignment model and was solved by the Hungarian method of assignment. This aspect of viewing a transportation model as an assignment model opens a few more new possibilities. This chapter investigates three such possibilities in context of a transportation model, which are: (1) accelerated convergence, (2) Kth best solution, and (3) analysis of a protean transportation system. | |
